California: Saturday

Saturday we started our fun filled day by visiting our good friend and old neighbor Nicolle. We enjoyed our visit catching up, eating donuts and playing with their "auntie." (But missed seeing her husband brad)

We were sad to leave but felt so good to see and reconnect with our friend. We left with big hugs and a large goodie bag full of homemade pumpkin bread! Which we were planning on sharing, but quickly realized that it was way too addicting to give away and it disappeared sooner than we thought possible!!

Then we went to visit the local firestation with Uncle Andy, Aunt Megan, Angie, Grandma and Gram.

This was really funny... So they let all the kids sit in the firetruck, and right when Ryan was up in the "drivers" seat, the alarm goes off. They got a call and had to fire up the trucks and take off. Well like I said Ryan was in the drivers seat and immediately started saying..."get me down! Get me out of here!!" I guess he was worried that they wouldn't see him and would go along for the ride?! :)So the video below is what we got to see right after that.

Uncle Andy had more fun I think than the kids. Here he is showing Renee and Angie how to hold the fire hose. And Ryan checking out all the cool tools that are bigger than he is!

Here is a real live Fire Man!

Renee wanted to try it on for size too! (kaylee wasn't too interested in joining in on the fun that day)

Then we went to a local "farm/petting zoo" The kids had a blast feeding all of the animals, petting them, holding them and riding them! Do miss the video below of feeding the ostrich! It's hillarious!

Yee-haw!!

(Kaylee is on the left and

Renee is on the Right)

Ryan can drive the train with out even looking!!

Then after the farm we headed home for good old naptime, and I snuck away to visit my friend Melinda from the hospital. We had a fun lunch and a great visit. After the kids woke up we went to go meet the family that is renting our condo. What a neat family! We knew that they were the right ones to rent it when we heard about them and it only confirmed our decision after meeting them. They have 2 kids, the same ages as our kids and one of them is named Kaylee also!! Great minds think a like!! :) We will definately make more time to see them next time we are out! What fun they are!

Then dropped the kids off at our old neighbors to babysit while we went out to dinner to meet my moms boyfriend. El Torito is always good food and the company was enjoyable as well.

I think Andy still dreams of the fun at the firestation and can't wait until next year.

I love the video of them feeding the ostrich.

Um, Karen, when you say Kaylee is on the left and Renee is on the right, it would kinda help if you put the pictures side by side instead of one on top of the other! The picture of Ryan in the red fireman's hat reminds me of Joe. I have pics of him running around the house with a hat just like it. Ryan is just such a little Joe! Your vacation looks like it was a success! Love to all-
