Two Months Down....17 Years and 10 Months to Go!

The girls turned two months old this past week and the time just keeps on flying by. These past months have been a whirlwind and we are grateful to be a part of it. The girls are sleeping a little better being on Prilosec as their reflux is finally getting under control. We also took them in for their two month office visit and the doctor said they are doing great. Big sister Kaylee weighed in at 9lb 5oz and Renee weighed in at 9lb even! Yay for breast milk! They also had their first four immunizations and I think mom and dad had a harder time than the girls did. The doctor said they are advancing well and are even a little advanced in how well they hold their heads up. Another exciting trip we had this week with the girls was a visit to put their hand and foot prints in clay. The girls were really good and Ryan even enjoyed playing with some extra clay that he got to take home.

This month has also been a busy one with some family visiting. Last week we first had a visit from Grandma Jane who stayed with us Thursday and Friday and then left on Saturday. We had such a great time with her and Ryan (and mom and dad) was sad to see her go. It took him about an hour to warm up to her, but soon after that he could barely leave her alone. I think if the girls could talk, they would have wanted her to stay another week. We chose to stay home and enjoy our time with her and she was such a great help giving mom and dad some much needed relaxation as she pampered and showered the girls with love and kisses. About two hours after Grandma Jane left on Saturday, Uncle Wally and Aunt Faye arrived and spent the day with us. We spent the afternoon just relaxing and enjoying time with the girls and Ryan. Again, Ryan took about an hour and was then so excited to have someone to show off all his toys. During the breaks of holding the girls, Aunt Faye took over as Ryan's best friend and had fun playing with him. They then ordered us pizza and we had a great dinner before they headed back to Sun City. We also had some friends stop by that we knew from El Paso, TX. Brenda and Brian got here Monday night and we enjoyed a great dinner and then spent the night catching up. Later that week, we met them at Disneyland and thanks to Karen's mom, we enjoyed a late night out with our friends.

Joe is continuing to go to school as he finishes his last class before pharmacy school and enjoys the fact that he is home most of the day except for Monday and Wednesday. We are currently planning to go out to Arizona this June and try to find a place to live for the next three years. Keep us in your prayers that we might find the place that is right for us. Karen has been trying to fight of a cold this week and with the intermittent sleep at night has not had fun. We just got over a bought of pink eye with Ryan and Karen's mom and we were lucky that the girls didn't get it. Hopefully, we can keep them safe from this too. Sorry it has been awhile since we posted but things have been going at high speed here lately. We will try to be more diligent in the future. Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures.

All dressed up for church!

Snuggling up after bath time.

Mommy, Kaylee, and Ryan....where is Renee?
Ryan is trying to make the girls do the sign for "cheese" while taking a picture.
Maybe someday Renee will be doing this in Hollywood.
Ryan having fun despite his battle against pink eye last week.
Ryan thought Grandma Jane was sooooo fun playing catch.

What Jane is thinking: "I wonder if they would fit in my carry on?"
Both girls in their "on-guard" position, with one hand stretched out and one hand close. Just like fencing. This is actually a developmental stage that they will soon out grow...but we think it is cute.

Uncle Wally taken on just one at a time.

Aunt Faye with more than she bargained for :-)....but she still had lots of fun!

I'm not sure I've wiped the smile from my face yet. It was great to be able to hold and cuddle Renee and Kaylee. Ryan is such fun to play with. Thanks for letting me be a part of your family for a couple of days.
Love,
Jane
